Local comprehensive, then joint honours in Computing and Electronics at Edinburgh University, graduating in 1998.

Occupation When Not Competing

Ski and snowboard instructor, working on local dryslope at home. Also worked at temp office work, computer consultant, waiter in Little Chef, Kleeneze salesman.

When and where did you learn to ski?

First learnt to ski at 6 years of age on the local dryslope (Midlothian Ski Centre). Lots of school trips and family holidays to Scottish and European resorts followed.


Competition History

Competed in Alpine events at primary/secondary school. Five years of Alpine race training and competing on Alpine dryslope and snow circuits. Achieved many age group podium places.

Started mogul competitions on dryslope in 1994 - 2nd in All England Championships.

Welsh dryslope and mogul champion 1995.
Winner of Dryslope Mogul League 1996.
All England Mogul Champion 1997.
Scottish Junior Mogul Champion at Nevis Range 1995.
British Downhill Speedskating Championships, Glencoe 1995 - 2nd (over125 kph).
Three Regions Championships Telemark Champion 1997.
European Mogul Challenge 1996, Meribel - Quarter finalist.
European Mogul Challenge 1997 - Val d'Isere - Quarter finalist.
British Dryslope Snowboard Championships 1998 - 2nd in slalom.
Scottish Mogul Championships 1999 - 2nd.
British Mogul Championships 1999 - 2nd
Anglo-Scottish Mogul Champion 2000.
Rocky Mountain Mogul League, Breckonridge 1999 - 5th.
French Mogul Championships 2000- 6th.
Australian Cup 2000 - 6th in single moguls, 5th in dual moguls.
Oberstdorf Europa Cup 2001 - 10th single moguls, 9th dual moguls.
Scottish Freestyle Championships 2001 - 2nd single moguls, 1st dual moguls, 3rd Big Air.
Australian Cup 2001 - 7th single moguls, 9th dual moguls.
British Freestyle Championships 2001 - 1st Moguls, 1st Dual moguls, 1st Ski Cross.
Europa Cup 2002 - Livigno 6th, Andermatt 7th Single Moguls
