1. NOW FULLY BOOKED - Moguls and Terrain course 2020

Thursday nights 8 – 10pm Starting on the 1st October

As of the 10th Sept class numbers can be a maximum of 8, booking online via - https://eu.jotform.com/KendalSnow/OpenSessions

The aim of this year’s course is to enable skiers to develop their skills and confidence in all the terrain options you may be faced with in any resort on a skiing holiday.

The first 4 weeks will begin with an easy introduction to bumps and terrain followed in the second 8 weeks by more advanced techniques designed to stretch skiers ability. The aim of these weeks is to give skiers the ability to adapt to changing slope conditions and the confidence to ski both terrain, rollers, individual bumps and banks – and ski down moguls at an appropriate speed and in control. Giving you the confidence to ski any terrain, safely and in control and try runs you may never have considered before.

We will cover how to read the terrain and adapt your skiing to enable you to maintain snow contact and steer in the direction you want to go. In the bumps, to be able to turn both on the tops of bumps and in the ‘rutline’, maintaining a safe, comfortable speed and staying in balance. The intention is always to have fun as well as developing skills and techniques. The techniques and balanced posture learned when skiing the bumps, will improve every area of your skiing.

Bob Park has been skiing for over 50 years, is a level 2 instructor and a freestyle moguls coach.

  7. Our original self-build lodge ! Much of which still stands today.

Fascinating how open the site was with very few trees next to what was then Kendal Girls High School. Access was then via Castle Garth off the Sedbergh Road, past Parks Garage and alongside the school hockey pitches.
